Hyperbaric educator, NHSA Certified Trainer, and RX-O2 Clinic Safety Director. Helping clinicians and technicians connect the science of oxygen under pressure with safe, practical chamber operations.

Alexander’s introduction to hyperbaric medicine began while he worked as a surgical technologist. Later, his own experience receiving HBOT after a serious injury and non-healing fracture helped shape his commitment to education and safer access to hyperbaric care.
He completed his medical education at Aureus University School of Medicine and pursued further study at Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Lifestyle Medicine.
Today, his work brings together classroom instruction, chamber demonstrations, safety oversight, and the operational experience of running RX-O2 Hyperbaric Clinics.

Association profile ↗Train with the NHSA Educational Director and the author of the new NHSA Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy Training Manual. Hundreds of doctors and hyperbaric technicians have successfully completed training in Dr. Borsand’s facilities. His teaching brings the textbook to life through clear explanations, equipment demonstrations, supervised practice, and practical assessment, giving you direct access to the educator behind the material and the experience behind the training.
Working with the certified training team, Alexander helps shape the learning experience by connecting the NHSA curriculum to equipment demonstrations, case discussions, and practical safety scenarios. The published course outline provides the foundation, from gas laws and oxygen physiology to patient preparation, chamber systems, and emergency response.
His teaching emphasizes why a procedure matters, how to perform it consistently, and when a concern needs to be escalated to the appropriate clinical professional.
Review the published NHSA curriculum ↗The training team guides hands-on practice and evaluates safe performance through the program’s 12-step practical assessment and required skills tests. Trainees practice patient preparation, vital signs, tympanic membrane visualization, chamber operation, oxygen safety, and emergency procedures.
Students must pass the practical requirements before taking the third-party online proctored board examination. Certification requires a score of at least 80%.
